About

We are Amanda & Anya, mother & daughter who share a love for travel, adventure, nature and the great outdoors.

During my early 20s, I (Amanda) spent a year backpacking throughout Australia, New Zealand, USA, and Canada, before going on to work at a backpacker hostel in Dublin, Ireland where I was based for several years. While living in Dublin, I also travelled across South Africa and visited a number of US and European cities.

Since Anya was 4-years old (currently 13-years), we have been exploring some of the places I had previously visited, and many that have been new to both of us. Traveling with a child is a whole different experience, having to plan each day a little more and factor in 'down time', with days in between exploring dedicated to time on the beach/at a park/pool. At the same time, it is incredibly rewarding to see Anya enjoy visiting new places as much as I do, being adaptable in terms of places we stay and being 'at home' on the road.

To say we have a 'bucket list' is an understatement - the list is continually growing and we plan to share all our travels and adventures here on The Fouries Travel.
